Introducing Teela-Jane and the Team
Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am a 52 year old genetic female and married to Dave who totally supports my business and is also a regular at my Tea get together every month.
From a child myself, I used to dress my younger brother and even gave him the femme name of Linda. Then came various boyfriends who were "gently persuaded" let me make them up - actually, thinking back, not one of them was reluctant!! Then in the early 80's during my wonderful time as a Fag Hag, I met my first T-Girl who asked me to teach her how to apply make up. So Transpose was hatched in my head and like a lot of people, I had the ideas but never did anything about it. Time just whizzed by and suddenly I realised that if I don’t start achieving my aims and dreams, I would regret it later in life. So with my own savings I set up Transpose in 2006.
I believe I have the world’s best job and I get immense job satisfaction, which is not something everyone can say – I count myself fortunate and all my clients are treated as special, because they are special to me.
Transpose is not just about me, but about the team that supports me, let me introduce them to you:-
Tilly
Regulars will already know Tilly - our cosmetics expert! I've never known anyone with as much skincare and product knowledge as this girl!! She has been a friend of mine for over ten years now and is full of energy and enthusiasm for the business and all the T-girls love her dearly. Tilly is in her 40's and used to be a model in her younger days, so whenever Tilly is around, she has my girls bent in all sorts of positions, posing for the camera and the results are amazing. She is single with two grown up children. Look out for her Tips!! If you EVER need any advice regarding skincare, Tilly's your girl so please feel free to contact her on natalie@transpose.tv
Chaz
My niece, Charlie or Chaz is a beautiful 18 year old who works for the company twice per week so many of you will have already met her and like me, you adore her too. She is not only beautiful but a lovely, talented young lady who likes nothing better than to sit down with a cuppa and chat away to my T-girls. Chaz will one day, take over the Transpose when I retire and is already learning the skills needed. She is a talented artist and her work has received distinction after distinction - why do I mention this? Well because she brings her talent as an artist into her make-up application - you should see some of the eye make-up she produces - she has talent!! It is my wish that Chaz has a career first before taking over the company but she will be a constant presence for many years to come.
Hubby
Last but by no means least is Dave, my husband who is 50 years old and also a regular (daily) visitor to Transpose - whether that be taking packaging and rubbish to the tip, or joining the girls for a gossip at my regular get together once a month. Dave specialised in sports and documentary photography for many years with the odd wedding thrown in and has taught me everything I know from how to hold a camera properly to all about aperture and depth of field (yawn.....just let me take pics of my girls). Without his unending support and encouragement I don't think I would be sitting here now typing this!! It was Dave's enthusiasm for my little business idea that really pushed me to start up Transpose. He has to be the most non-judgemental person I have ever known and has this genuine warmth which touches everyone he meets - he is just Dave, whether talking to a homeless person on the street or Lord and Lady Muck!
Mission Statement
Honesty, Reputation, Value for Money, Quality, Client Satisfaction
Honesty is an integral part of the foundation upon which my business is built. Transpose aims to deliver a high quality service based on experience and good moral practices to all sections of the trans-gender community.
Thank You from Aly
"Every time I come & see you, I find myself thinking it just can't get any better. Well, it does.....& yesterday was the best.....ever!
I really don't know how to say thank you enough.......words are sometimes inadequate & this really is one of those times.
When I arrived home yesterday evening, I posted 2 of the pics on flickr & in less than 24 hours, they've become my most successful pics......of all time.
I owe you so very much......not just the dressing & the wonderful photography, but what you've done (probably without knowing it) to boost my confidence & help me come to terms with all the doubts I've carried inside me for so many years about Aly.....it's not overstating it to say that I owe you everything.
So thank you once again. I am so glad I found you......keep doing what you do so well & thank you for touching my life."
Lots of love,
Aly xxx
